About this site
This website is about Classic Cars and Photography ……. mainly.
And when I say Classic I'm not talking about a category defined by year of manufacture or value or marque. I'm talking about cars that we will stop and cross the road to have a look at. But I’m sure you know what I mean. You may even own one. Let's face it, most cars aren't what they used to be, they are reliable, economical, long lasting and well………..a means of transport. Then there are the other sort of cars and whatever else they are they aren't just a way of getting from A to B, they're interesting, people ask you about them and you enjoy telling the story, probably the story you have told time and time again. I know I've done it! If you like the idea of having a portrait either of your car or you and your car or both and you think it's worth investing a little of your time and money, have a look around…….. If you like what you see contact me! |
About Me
|
Hello, I'm Robert Bailey and I'm semi-retired. I suppose you could describe me as a technical creative. I'm interested in planes and boats and trains and of course cars. I appreciate attention to detail, continuity and like to think I have an appreciation of history. I enjoy the photos I and others close to me have taken for the moments they re-create for me. It is my hope that my photos will do the same for you in the future.

About My History
|
I was born in 1950 to working class parents, although my Mum seemed to think she was related to the Queen Mother. I had a fairly normal education at St Marys’ Infants and Junior Schools in Long Ditton and Hinchley Wood Secondary School. Then on to Brooklands Technical Collage as part of an Engineering Apprenticeship. Interested in all things technical, especially cars, as well as music, I have worked for most of my life as a draughtsman and designer in the field of engineering. Mainly in aerospace and military electronics but more latterly in the field of cryogenic process engineering. I have a daughter, two grandchildren and have recently married and so now have three step-children and a share of a cat. I live in Surrey as I have done for all of my life.
